Stay Wild.
Yoga, Adventure + Safari Retreat in Zanzibar, Tanzania
October 13 - 20, 2027
Africa changes you. There is a magic there that can only be experienced - a remembering, a beauty that naturally reflects something ancient within you.
For our first African retreat together, Brittany and I (Kierstie Payge) chose the best of all worlds: Zanzibar, Tanzania.
Turquoise seas. Rich Swahili culture. Spice-filled cuisine. White-sand beaches. Experience the medicine of witnessing African wildlife in their natural habitat. A safari is about so much more than seeing animals. It’s a meditation in itself. It's the waiting. The silence. The unpredictability.
Zanzibar sits at this intersection of all of the things that make our hearts go WILD.
You will not leave the same person as you were when you arrived.
FEATURING: A FULL-DAY AFRICAN SAFARI, SUN-KISSED INDIAN OCEAN ADVENTURE, SWAHILI CULTURE + CUISINE, DAILY SELF REFLECTION + MEDITATION, COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS + MOVEMENT PRACTICES

Travel as Practice:
Travel stitches your perspective, deepens your gratitude and expands what’s possible. It pulls you out of the familiar and reminds you just how wild, vast, and extraordinary this world is. Africa has a way of doing this unlike anywhere else. On retreat, your practice goes beyond your mat, through the colors and rhythms of unfamiliar places, around tables filled with new flavors and incredible humans, and in moments that leave you completely in awe. .
The Transformation:
The Tanzania Savannah is a landscape that moves entirely on its own terms, witnessing the power and tenderness of the wild without trying to control any of it. In that stillness, you gain access to the parts of yourself silenced by the noise of everyday life—and remember that your truest, most essential self is already free, wild, and deeply woven into the rhythms of nature and the circle of life itself.
The Land:
Floating off the coast of Tanzania in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, Zanzibar sits at the crossroads of Africa, Arabia, India, and the sea. It’s a sacred land is shaped by centuries of Swahili culture, trade, prayer, ritual, and tradition. Just a week here and you will notice that the ancient rhythms that still exist here aren’t so different from our own modern lifestyle. Bringing an element of harmony and balance between what used to be and what is.
The Nourishment:
We believe the cuisine is one of the staples of any retreat! We take what we eat seriously. The island's cuisine tells the story of its history. We'll gather around vibrant meals filled with tropical fruit, fragrant spices, fresh seafood, coconut, vegetables, curries, and local flavors. It is called Spice Island for a reason!

We’re Kierstie + Brittany. We’ve been creating world class retreats together since 2021. Between the two of us we have hosted dozens of retreats, across 5 continents, the most iconic countries, countless cities, and a lot of unforgettable humans along the way.
Kierstie brings years of experience as an international retreat leader, yoga educator, and founder of The Dharma Kollective. Brittany has been creating one of a kind retreats since 2017, with an extensive background in the healing arts of yoga, yoga teacher trainer, business mentor and an overall badass.
Together, we like to do things a little differently. Less cookie-cutter wellness retreat, more Expansive. More Sacred. More bold. More connection. More laughing until your stomach hurts. More moments that make you think, “holy shit, I needed this.”
We put a ridiculous amount of love into these retreats — the places, the practices, every single detail is built with intention and devotion to what brought us together in the first place. YOGA. And thats probably why every single retreat we’ve ever hosted has sold out.
We cannot wait to welcome you to whichever experience you choose to take with us.

Our days are intentionally spacious, balancing practices and adventure with plenty of time to rest, wander, swim, explore, or simply be. Mornings begin with yoga, followed by nourishing meals and opportunities to experience Zanzibar together. Some days are dedicated to excursions and cultural experiences, while others are intentionally left open for rest and white space. Evenings will be for resting with restorative and yin yoga, breathwork and connection exercises. This is a retreat, not a rigid itinerary.
A detailed itinerary will be shared with registration.

“What an incredible experience. We signed up for this retreat an entire year in advance. I am so grateful we did. Kierstie and Brittany exude pure magic and love. Their yoga teachings inspired my own and truly renewed my love for this practice in a whole new way. Any opportunity to travel, especially for a retreat, is one worth taking. We can wait to travel with them again in the future!
